I've texted four of my close friends
And all are busy this weekend.
One has a date.
One has a child.
One has a husband by her side.
One is tired from her week
And needs to use the time to sleep.
So I will do the single things
The cinema
A shopping trip
I'll read a book!
I'll write a play!
I'll put it on, on Broadway!
Bright lights will temporarily
Make me forget I'm lonely.
